    AbilityNet provide all levels of support from free IT support from fully DBS-checked team members for older individuals and disabled individuals of any age, to helping professionals improve accessibility to digital products and websites.

    A UK-wide organisation, they have team members situated in Surrey for localised support.

    Complete the request form on their website to request learning support for yourself or a friend/family member.

    Age UK's Guildford drop-in centre offers face to face tech support and digital skills training to Surrey residents. 

    Bring your own laptop, iPad, Tablet or Mobile Phone and its mains lead/charger and use our Wi-Fi connection.

    As well as digital skills help, the team can offer advice around staying safe online, device security and much more.

    Age UK's Guildford drop-in centre offers face to face tech support and digital skills training to Surrey residents.

  4. Age UK Surrey - Telephone Tech Support

    Age UK's friendly and experienced team of volunteers will help you learn and improve your digital skills whether you are a beginner or someone with computer experience.
    For digital help with a computer, tablet or mobile phone, our Tech Support Team of friendly volunteers are just a phone call away.

    Help is available to all Surrey residents.

    Examples of help available:
    • Finding information on the internet
    • Shopping online securely
    • Sending and receiving emails
    • Editing and manipulating photos
    • Researching family history
    • Talking to your friend abroad via Whatsapp or Skype

  5. Angelic Network

    This wonderful community interest company were set up during the Covid-19 pandemic, to help Surrey residents of all faiths and ages to stay connected and support those in need.

    Alongside a rich programme of social events and opportunities to learn new skills, they offer both digital skills learning support and English classes for those struggling with digital exclusion and language barriers. They can also offer a tech loan service, though please note the resources available for this service are limited.

    This group are very community focused, so there is great opportunity to connect with local neighbours and socialise as well as learn.

  6. Blind Veterans UK

    Blind Veterans UK help visually-impaired ex-Servicemen and Women to rebuild their lives after sight loss.

    As well as an incredible range of services including of rehabilitation, retraining and emotional support, the Charity offer help with accessing suitable tech and re-learning digital skills in both group and one to one environments.

    To be eligable for help from this Charity, you might meet the criteria - referrals and eligability checkers are availkable on their website.
